Are you trying to get through the door? Let's talk subject headings!

I was once told by a blogger of an urban media blog that he receives hundreds of emails each day, and in order for an email to get a click from him, the subject heading MUST grab his attention.

I think this is worth some practice and could be the difference between getting your next pitch or not! So let's practice. I'll help.

Choose a subject line that will make your reader want to read further.

Here are some suggestions:

If you have someone who referred you, then I would start with:

1. “Blake referred me to you – 3mm film with Michael B Jordan to star.”

Or,

“I hear you love my film’s star Michael B. Jordan, brief chat?”

Or,

“Jussie Smollett project seeking 3mm"

If you don't have a named talent, you may say:

2. "Film tackles stolen girls from Nigeria, seeks Director"

Now you try it.
