I learned…

Just a thought on what I learned.
I sit among greatness EVERYDAY! I watch as he or she struggle to get their projects on air, in broadway houses, and in theaters. These great people I witness daily have seen some of the their projects on air and in theaters making millions of dollars. These people hear more “no’s than you can ever imagine. Yet, they throw themselves back in the game every day going harder than the day before. They understand that in order to get one “yes, one that equates to millions of dollars in revenue, they will get lots of “no’s.” Their feathers aren’t ruffled by a “no”. Let me tell you.
I see their strategies and nothing or no one stops until every action has been taken. Then they huddle up, and create another strategy; take more action.
I’ve even watched them turn HARD no’s into “Yes, I’ll take another meeting to talk with you and hear your “upgraded offer.” For them THERE IS NO ROOM FOR PRIDE unless it’s about the work. But pride never gets in the way of business.
I watch as they invest unfathomable amounts of money from their own pockets because they believe in what they have created. I sit as a witness to how their pitching strategies change with each company.
I learn to go harder.
I learn to level up my pitching materials.
I learn to 10x my requests for meetings.
I learn to reach outside of the box.
I learn to always be pitching.
I learn to be bold.
I learn to name drop.
I learn to be confident.
I learn to invest in what I believe in.
I learn that it takes a team; friends, family, and other professionals, to make the dream come to fruition, and to be prepared to give away pieces of the puzzle.
I learn not to take “no” so seriously. It simply means you are closer to your “yes.”
